SmilingQuote is a site for browsing quotes, image quotes, and articles. You can explore the site without creating an account or making a payment. This policy describes the information that may be involved in using the site, including when you choose to post a public comment on an article where commenting is available.
Information involved in your visit
When you browse, basic hosting and infrastructure logs may process technical information such as your IP address, request time, pages or resources requested, browser or device information, and referring page. Public article comments
If you submit a comment on a published article where comments are available, the name you provide and the body of your comment are posted publicly with that article. Other visitors may read them, and public content may be copied or indexed outside our control. Please do not include private information in either field.
To help prevent comment spam and repeated misuse, the comment process uses a one-way fingerprint derived from the submitting IP address. This is used for abuse prevention rather than displayed with your comment. A fingerprint may still be considered personal data in some contexts; the hosting provider may separately process the underlying IP address in technical logs.
